1 May 2018 The 2018 Financial Literacy Australia (FLA) Grants program is now open. The FLA Grants program supports not-for-profit organisations to advance financial literacy in Australia. In 2018 FLA have $2 million in funding for projects related to:
  • single parents
  • women and economic abuse
  • disability (especially in the area of cognitive disability)
  • superannuation
  • Indigenous communities

Expressions of interests close on 15 June 2018.

19 April 2018 ANZ released findings from their surveys measuring the financial wellbeing of Australian and New Zealand adults. The reports discuss the connection between a person's financial wellbeing and their knowledge and experience, attitudes and motivations, behaviours as well social and environmental factors.

The National Financial Literacy Strategy Annual Highlights Report 2016-17 was released on 5 March 2018.

This report is a collective account of activity by ASIC and a range of organisations delivering financial literacy and capability initiatives in alignment with the Strategy. It provides a national picture of the impact of programs and activities being undertaken, including highlights from 2016-17 and a summary of progress.
